Lantau Peak or Fung Wong Shan (traditional Chinese: 鳳凰山 , literally "Phoenix Mountain") is the second highest peak in Hong Kong. It is situated on Lantau Island , with a height of 934 m above sea level. It is most famous for the sunrise scenery viewed from the summit.
The peak is one of the most popular hiking spots in Hong Kong , it can be reached by the Lantau Trail.
Most hikers begin their climb from the Youth Hostel near Ngong Ping before dawn in order to catch a view of the sunrise.
